Latin America. Eutelsat's performance is on the rise in Latin America. Diversifying its services, the company continues to position itself at the forefront of satellite services in the region, said Guillermo Coronado, Sales Director for Latin America at Eutelsat.
"We have three new satellites that were added to our fleet in 2016 – two of them with state-of-the-art technology, new developments focused on the Internet of Things (IoT), very focused on understanding our customers' system and trying to get closer to their needs. Demand for broadband and mobility services will be growing; also something important will be in the transition from SD to HD. This will generate a lot of satellite capacity in the future," he said during his participation in Convergencia 2017, an exhibition held in Mexico City.
On Eutelsat's performance, he said: "In the Latin American region we are doing very well fortunately. After the migration to Eutelsat Americas, you are noticing a growth in this stage of transition. We retain the total quality as a regional operator, but adding the experience of global operator and 40 years that Eutelsat has in the market".
Coronado mentioned that they offer their customers a considerable advantage in the satellite market. "Competition is important and we love it and it forces us to be better. Our satellites were generated to have the highest levels of efficiency in the region: more Mb with the lowest number of MHz possible, taking advantage of the capabilities of our satellites. We also improve our orbitals, the best pointing angles, and if that is combined with the best technologies on the ground, in the end customers will have the best solution. We adapt to the fact that technological evolution continues to advance, because we have the best satellites in space. StarGroup and Millicom have preferred us, which are very important companies in the region."
