Colombia. One of the themes that surrounded the International Salon of Light, was the announcement of the commemoration of the 100 years of a company dedicated to audiovisual production in the world.
The event was attended by Esteban Umaña, Technical Sales Representative for Latin America of Arri, who highlighted one of his products within the presentation of the Festival, it is the SkyPanel, a compact, ultra bright and high quality soft LED light that sets a new standard for the industry. It has a design focused on shape, color, beam field and output, "SkyPanel represents the culmination of more than a decade of LED technology research and development at Arri." I add Umaña.
To the question What things does Arri's SkyPanel make special? Esteban Umaña said that the benefits of SkyPanel is to make effects of lightning, thunder, effects of paparazi, a campfire or fire. "You can also achieve party effects, we put it in high-speed mode where we have tested it at more than 25 thousand frames per second with various shutter combinations, also with 318 implemented thread and litep gelatins reprogrammed inside the unit."
Umaña gave attendees at the International Light Show a conference on HDR for Workflow in pre-production, post-production and distribution. He highlighted the strong market penetration that the Alexa Mini camera has had for its compact, light and autonomous model.
The Arri Alexa Mini is an additional versatile tool in the range of Alexa cameras, which in less than two years on the market has already sold more than 6 thousand units, as well as the SkyPanel, with which they exceed 22 thousand units sold in the first two years of its release to the market.
2017 is a special year for Arri, he celebrates 100 years in the industry. In 1917 August Arnold and Robert Richter, two enthusiastic teenagers, founded a film technology company in Munich, Germany. One hundred years later the company's headquarters are still located on that same street in the city of Munich, but Arri has grown to become a global company and a trusted partner of the global film industry with close to 1300 employees worldwide.
The celebrations of this centenary will be in September and will do so by launching online some interesting interactive content.
