Colombia. After a work of socialization of the modification project and of collecting, organizing and analyzing the observations received in that process, the ANTV publishes Resolution 1462 of 2016, by which resolution 433 of 2013 is modified.
The New Resolution modifies the grounds for cancellation of the license and Annex Six of Resolution 433 of 2013, in addition, establishes the first of January of each year as the date of update to the compensation value.
The regulation project also provided some spaces for socialization, which were led by the director of the entity, Ángela María Mora Soto and the members of the National Television Board, in which the cities of Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Cali and Medellín were toured during the month of June, in order to work together with the communities organized non-profit, that provide community television service in all corners of the country and thus strengthen the sector and promote spaces for dialogue.
The meetings enabled spaces of attention to solve the concerns of the attendees in financial, concessional, surveillance, control and follow-up matters. Likewise, they became the perfect setting to discuss with attendees about the procedures of community television, especially those related to the granting and terms of licenses, the obligations of licensees, the areas of coverage, the number of associates and the update of compensation rates, among other topics.
