Colombia. On December 9, 10 and 11, six Spanish producers and one distributor will be in Bogotá, in order to generate commercial ties with their Colombian peers, thanks to the support of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Bogotá, ICEX Spain Export and Investment and the Cluster of Creative industries and Content of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá.
As explained to TVyVideo+Radio Ana Narváez, from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Colombia, the mission of audiovisual companies is held at the request of FAPAE due to the great interest of companies in the sector in Spain to co-produce in Colombia and know the enormous possibilities of the Colombian audiovisual market.
The FAPAE Confederation is a non-profit organization that integrates almost all the film and television production companies in Spain. Currently composed of more than 300 production companies, these have been associated both territorially and depending on the specialization and peculiarities of the sector.
The production companies Producciones MG, Diagonal, Gaia, Medina Media, Bausan Films and Basque films, and the distributor Latido films, will have a wide agenda in Colombia. It begins on Wednesday 9 with an event that will take place at the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Chapinero headquarters, which includes institutional talks and success stories of international co-productions in Colombia, starting at 8:30 am.
The second part will be a business roundtable to which around 16 Colombian producers and seven distributors are invited, and which will begin at 10:00 am. In this, Colombian and Spanish companies will be able to sit down to exchange views on both markets and talk about co-productions and distribution in Colombia.
On Thursday and Friday, the Spanish production companies will meet with Colombian television channels and will have teleconferences with the audiovisual industry of Medellín and regional televisions.
