Colombia. With an academic and updating day, the Autonomous University of the Caribbean and the Association of Audiovisual Producers, Aprocaribe, proclaimed for the first time this October 27 the Day of the Audiovisual Producer.

For the proclamation of this commemorative day, an academic day and technical-commercial exhibition was organized at the Autonomous University of the Caribbean with free and certified admission. During this academic day on "The new challenges in the creation and production of audiovisual content" at the Caribbean Club House of the Autonomous University of the Caribbean on October 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This day had a luxury academic program, responding to the needs and concerns of the sector, at the forefront of major events in the audiovisual sector, with open streaming and remote headquarters connected in Cartagena and Santa Marta, among other cities, stressed the director of the Radio and Television program, Silvia Gutiérrez
Experienced figures from the audiovisual sector gathered to accompany the proclamation ceremony, such as Ralph Messana with a technical exhibition called Workflows on IP platform; Carlos Serrano, workshop of the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for new Ibero-American journalism with the presentation on Television and video in the era of the Total Image; and a hot and topical debate such as the regulation of Drones in Colombia.
In turn, and in view of the proximity of the Central American and Caribbean sports games, which will be held in Barranquilla, a discussion was held on the role of the sector in the sports jousts and concluded with the Conference New challenges in the creation and audiovisual production dictated by Gabriel Levy.
This event, completely free, was aimed at filmmakers and producers from the Caribbean region and throughout Colombia, the audiovisual media of the Caribbean, television producers, audiovisual media entrepreneurs, engineers of the open and closed television channels of the Caribbean, community channels, students and graduates of the faculties or audiovisual programs, among others, who attended massively during the day that was supported by the firms AVTech Ltda and their firms represented Datavideo, NewTek and JVC.
