Colombia. Ernesto Orozco, Electrical Engineer, nominated by the Government of Guainía, is the new representative of the governorates in the National Television Board of the ANTV, for a term of three years. Orozco was elected through a selection process carried out by the Ministry of Education, through the University of Antioquia.
The engineer was selected from 12 candidates who were nominated for this position. To elect the new Board Member, according to article 4 of Law 1507 of 2012, each of the country's governors nominated a candidate, who participated in the selection process, according to the parameters established by the University of Antioquia.
Ernesto Orozco, born in Valledupar, is a graduate of the Universidad del Norte, and has a specialization in regulation and management of telecommunications and new technologies from the Externado de Colombia University. In addition, he is a specialist in engineering management systems at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
During his professional practice he has served as Advisor to the National Television Authority, Advisor to the National Television Commission, Professional in the National Network of Transmitters of Inravisión, among others.
With this election, the National Board of the ANTV is formed in its entirety. Its members are: The Minister of Information and Communications Technologies, David Luna; Beatriz Quiñones, Representative of Civil Society; Claudia Núñez, Representative of the Government, Olga Castaño Martínez, Representative of the Universities and Ernesto Orozco, Representative of the Governorates.
In the coming days he will take office before the other Board Members.
