Mexico. The Plenary of the Federal Institute of Telecommunications, IFT, resolved seven interconnection disagreements between concessionaires of public telecommunications networks, in which it established the conditions and rates that must be applied for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2015.
It was also decided to issue five permit titles for use for official purposes, equal number of radio station frequencies; of these, three correspond to the Government of the State of Mexico, one to the Government of Quintana Roo and one more to the Government of Puebla.
Similarly, it was agreed to issue two permit titles to operate broadcasting stations for cultural purposes in favor of two higher educational institutions in the cities of Monterrey, N.L. and Querétaro, Qro., of which one is for television and one for radio, respectively.
Likewise, the Plenary approved issuing a concession title to use, take advantage of and exploit a frequency for a commercial radio station in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
With respect to concessions for public use, it was agreed to determine the appropriateness of the request for extension and to grant a single concession in six applications for the provision of public television service in favor of the Government of Hidalgo.
