Colombia. The ANTV organizes the fourth summit that will bring together experts and representatives of the regulatory entities of Ibero-America Bogotá will be the scene of the fourth PRAI summit, Platform of Regulators of the Audiovisual Sector of Ibero-America, which will be held from September 24 to 26 at the Marriott Hotel. The event will bring together representatives of regulators and experts on the subject from 14 countries.
Under the slogan The new regulatory role of the state in the information society, the PRAI 2014 will discuss regulatory challenges in Latin America, regulatory models in Europe, those developed in our continent, new formats and new consumers, among other topics that are of general interest, since they directly affect the user.
For Beatriz Quiñones, member of the ANTV, and who is in charge of the entity of the PRAI 2014, the theme of the meeting will be what is the role of the state in times of convergence? "It's the fundamental question . Just as some first-world countries are tending to deregulate and other countries are debating whether the issue is self-regulating or regular, we said, "What does the state have to do?"
She is categorical in highlighting the role of the state and its responsibility in such sensitive issues as the protection of children against the contents that are broadcast on television.

Prai 2014 will be attended by representatives of regulatory entities from 14 countries. From Europe confirmed the attendance of Carlo Magno, from the Regulatory Entity of Social Communication of Portugal.
From America will be Daniel Larrache and José María Vitorio, from the Federal Communication Services Authority of Argentina; Jhon Cruz, from the Teleco Regulatory and Supervisory Authority in Bolivia; Oscar Reyes and María Dolores Souza, of the National Television Council CNTV of Chile; Randal García, of the National Radio and Television System of Costa Rica; Miriam Larco, from the Radio and Television Advisory Council – ComCorTV of Peru; Cesar Palacios, from the Secretariat of Information and Communication of Paraguay; Eduardo Neri, of the National Telecommunications Commission of Paraguay; Jorge Ferrando and Sergio Cola, from the National Telecommunications Directorate of Uruguay; Fernando Borjón, from the Federal Institute of Telecommunications of Mexico and Paulina Mogrovejo of Cordicom of Ecuador.
For Colombia, host country of PRAI 2014, will be Beatriz Quiñones, Alexandra Falla, Olga Castaño, Claudia Núñez and Ramón Angarita, all members of the ANTV.
On the side of the speakers invited to the PRAI 2014 will be the Argentines Alejandro Piscitelli, expert in Prosumo Digital, and Román Guash, of the company Turner Broadcasting Digital and expert in New Platforms and OTT Distribution; Marcio Wholes expert in Digital Convergence; the Frenchman Bernard Darrás, expert in Digital Communication and training in Communications; the Spaniards Gerard Imbert, expert in New Languages and Formats; Eladio Gutiérrez, consultant DVB Advisor and expert in Digital Terrestrial Television; Ester Fernández de Hispasat and expert in Satellite Television and Ricardo Villa of RTVE and expert in Digital Web Television and OTT Platforms.
