Colombia. The National Television Authority opened a call to higher education institutions that offer programs in the humanities and / or human sciences and that have a research center recognized by Colciencias and / or competent authority, to make observation, systematization and analysis of television content.
The idea is to investigate the different audience slots and their schedules, observe the regional channels to know the editorial line of each of them in front of the media representation of issues of national impact, analyze subscription television to know what type of content it produces and make a systematic observation of topics of interest to the ANTV, which should be addressed in the light of control and surveillance criteria, concessions and content.
The contract, which reaches 480 million Colombian pesos (about USD$240,000), will be awarded through a merit contest. The observation and analysis of television content will be carried out in the following regions of the country:
To guarantee the transparency of the call, the ANTV convened the Citizen Oversight Offices, the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Anti-Corruption Program of the Presidency of the Republic and other interested parties.
