The French-American telecommunications group Alcatel-Lucent obtained in the second quarter of 2013 a net loss of 885 million euros, compared to 'the red numbers' of 396 million euros that it obtained in the same period of 2012, which is 123.5% more, according to the company in a statement.
For its part, the revenues of the telecommunications company reached 3,612 million euros in the second quarter of 2013, which is 1.86% more compared to the 3,546 million euros it invoiced between April and June of the previous fiscal year.
In the first six months of 2013 as a whole, Alcatel Lucent accumulated losses of €1,238 million, while the company's turnover reached €6,838 million.
The CEO of Alcatel-Lucent, Michel Combes, stressed that they are at the beginning of their project for 2015. He also pointed out that looking forward the company's objective should be to maintain a "strict and disciplined" implementation of its restructuring plan of all operational and financial industrial areas.
