Brazil. To improve the supply of equipment for companies in the television industry, with manufacturing and assistance from the region, Hitachi Kokusai Electric bought the Brazilian company Lineal Equipamentos Eletrónicos.
Hitachi Kokusai Electric executives highlighted that since 1977 Brazil has been making a name for itself in the broadcasting market, and that Lineal has taken advantage of this process and consolidated itself as one of the largest transmitter suppliers in Brazil and Latin America, and has designed, installed and maintained more than 37,000 facilities in nearly 40 countries.
They added that "Lineal's value proposition has always been to offer better and more cost-effective ways to address the local challenges of each broadcaster in the community. It offers a wide range of economical and high-efficiency transmitters, exciters, encoders, multiplexers, Gap-Fillers and converters."
The purchase includes the name change, the now Brazilian branch is renamed Hitachi Kokusai Lineal. The president of this branch, Shigeru Kimura, assured that the quality of the products and service that characterizes the company will not be affected by the purchase.
