Blackmagic Design released Desktop Video 9.2 beta 1 software, an update to its capture and playback products that adds the ability to monitor streams with the new Final Cut Pro X 10.0.3.
Desktop Video 9.2 beta 1 for Mac OS X is available for free download for all Blackmagic Design customers in www.blackmagic-design.com/support this update also includes support for DeckLink, Multibridge, Intensity and UltraStudio.
Streaming monitoring in Final Cut Pro 10.0.3 allows video output to external monitors and other equipment using SDI, HDMI, or analog video outputs from Blackmagic Design's video hardaware.
For its part, the Desktop Video 9.2 beta 1 includes a new control panel to select the output video format from Final Cut Pro X to devices such as HDTVS and projectors, so that it is possible to see how the image will look when streaming on television.
It also includes the Media Express 3.1 beta that allows the capture, and handling of video files to formats compatible with Final Cut Pro X, as well as uncompressed video.
