Module for video cameras alt The KA-AS790G is JVC's new module for video cameras. It offers MPEG-2 compression and is ideal for microwave transmission and long-span mobile units using the GY-HM790U or ProHD GY-HM750U, without the need for external cables or adapters.

Both HD audio and video are compressed using the camera's encoder (which runs on either 19.7 or 35 Mbps), creating an MPEG-2 signal, and then providing lossless DVB-ASI encoding.

The camera's live signal output module, even during recording, is done via a standard BNC connector and when it detects the presence of the KA-AS790G module, it automatically switches to low latency mode.
