Avid Media Toolkit and Avid Interplay Web are now available Services, two packages for developers that increase the ability of Avid solutions to interact with third-party applications.
Avid Media Toolkit is designed to improve the way you that developers create, read, and exchange files from Avid MXF content with other applications in the sector. Avid Interplay Web Services API is an SOA interface that allows customers and integrators, perfectly incorporate Interplay with automated and customized workflows. Allows the exchange with standard web applications, such as Java and .Net environments, and reduces integration tasks, so that Avid file-based product range to be further incorporated easily to established IT environments.
This announcement is based on the launch of the BXF system Gateway, which significantly improves and modernizes flows of audiovisual communication work, and of the Avid DNxHD codec, which has become an industry standard for the HD content exchange.
Avid Media Toolkit Version 1.0 supports, among others, with the following formats: IMX 30, IMX 40, IMX 50, DVCAM, DVCPro 25, DVCPro 50, DVCPro 100 and Avid DNxHD 120, 145, 185 and 220.
For its part, Avid Interplay Web services is based on SOAP 1.1
and supports more web service environments
used, such as Net 2.0 and Sun Metro for Java (JAX WS).
