The requirements were firm of the first stage of the process to award a new channel national commercial television open. The National Commission of Television (CNTV), of Colombia, issued the regulations of the register of private commercial operators of the public service of television at the level of national coverage.
Those who want participate in the tender for a new television channel they may register in this register until 30 July. The form for first-time registrants will have a cost of 98 million 761 thousand pesos and, for those who want renew it, 9 million 230 thousand pesos.
In this form will be registered the categories stipulated by the CNTV which shall be the subject of evaluation and qualification: experience, professionalism and technical capacity; financial capacity, availability of teams and organizational structure.
Within the experience are demanded minimum six thousand hours of television production and eleven thousand hours of broadcast (programming).
As required by law, who aspire to operate a television channel must demonstrate that do not have foreign investment greater than 40% of their total capital.
