Five channel executives Globovisión television, from Venezuela, met with the Board Board of Directors of the National Television Commission (CNTV), of Colombia, to express its intention to participate in the tender for the award of a new private channel of open television.
Nashud and Nelson Mezerhane, sons of the owner of the canal; Alberto Federico Ravel, director; Jaime Zambra, technical engineer, and Patricia Lara, the channel's contact in Colombia, spoke with María Carolina Hoyos Turbay, Director, and CNTV Commissioners Ricardo Galán Osma, Fernando Álvarez Corredor and Juan Andrés Carreño Cardona, on the terms in which the process has been raised tender.
During the hearing, the representatives of Globovisión made a brief presentation of the channel and asked some questions about the terms announced for tendering.
Globovisión, news channel of Venezuela is the sixth company to announce its intentions to participate in the tender for a new commercial channel of Free-to-air TV. Previously they also did: The Publishing House El Tiempo, with Grupo Planeta, from Spain; Grupo Prisa, of Spain; the Ángel González Group of Mexico; RTI and General Electric (Telemundo), and the Cisneros Organization of Venezuela.

air in 2009, CNTV reported.
