The National Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences, from the United States, announced the winners of its Emmy Awards for Science, Technology and Engineering for television. The prizes will be presented at the opening event of the CES Show, on January 8, 2007. The Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards Recognize Achievement achieved in the areas of Science, Engineering and Technology for Broadcast Television, which includes broadcast, cable and satellite distribution; and Science, Engineering and Technology for broadband and personal television, including television interactive, gaming technology and, for the first time, internet, mobile phones, private networks and players personal means.

The Technology Emmy Awards and Engineering, in the area of Science, Engineering and Technology for Broadcast Television were delivered in six categories:
The Emmy Award for Development of Avant-garde in On Screen Display (OSD) by construction, control and configuration of Television Equipment for Consumers was delivered to RCA.
The Emmy Award for Architecture for Streaming Media and Components was awarded to Microsoft, Adobe, Real and Apple.
The Emmy Award for Development of Cutting Edge for Combining Multiple Means of Flow Transport of video, which have already been encoded, was awarded to Terayon Communication Systems.
The Emmy Award for Development and Implementation of Dynamic Television Guidelines, Custom and Automatically Assembled was for Visible World and Weather Channel.
The Emmy Award for Advancement Technological solutions for Digital Serial Interfaces, it was awarded to Gennum Corporation.
Finally, the Emmy Award for a Private Company with Satellite Operations, mainly for International Video Services was for Rene Anselmo, PanAmSat.
The winners in the area of Science, Engineering and Technology for Broadband and Television Staff will be announced at CES.
