The company offers national coverage and has also made films in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Cuba, in some cases with its own transport.
He frequently serves foreign producers doing work in Mexico, in the U.S. special, but recently worked with the BBC in London and has also had clients from Germany, France and Japan.
"For visiting producers it is impractical to bring equipment and make cumbersome procedures to document it. It is convenient for them and it is more comfortable to rent cameras, and they do not run the risk of them failing; in addition, our costs are in pesos," adds the interviewee.
New packages
Another company in this field that seeks to support the production of commercials and films is Renta Imagen, a company founded 20 years ago, which has the capacity to serve five productions at the same time. It has Arricam, Arri 535, 435, III, BL III, IIC and SR III or Evolution cameras; lighting, dollies and cranes, mobiles and generating plants.
In addition, says Laura García, executive of Renta Imagen, the company has the exclusive representation for Mexico of Tyler Camera Systems (mounts for helicopters), Hydroflex (blimp 35 mm and underwater lighting), and Bag-O-Lights (powerful diffuse HMI lighting).
Additionally, it has special equipment: Photosonics camera (250 -2,500 cps), underwater blimps for 16 mm, Chapman and Fisher cranes and dollies , among others, and sale of Kodak negative material.
Its most important clients are the production houses García Bross y Asociados, Cineconcepto/Cinemtronics, Z Film, La Tribu, Distrito Films, Matatena Films, Quittani, Imax, Central Films, Univision, Titra Producciones, among others.
Aware of the difficult situation that its medium is going through, Renta Imagen has formed new packages of film equipment, both in 35 mm and 16 mm, in support of the production houses. "These packages include the basic equipment to meet the needs of any production," says Laura García.
In addition, Renta Imagen created a "supermobile" for distant locations, designed on a Kenworth truck to save a vehicle with its corresponding mileage, fuel and booths, as well as the cost of personnel and per diems.
The new supermobile has a 1200 amp plant mounted, next to the tramoya box, and its advantages have already been used by some of its regular customers.
