The R&S FSH3-TV, the first Portable TV analyzer according to Rohde & Schwarz, is capable of processing digital and analog signals from television. Compact design makes it ideal for applications mobiles such as on-site service provision new or repair of cable networks or cable components Transmitters. The original model of the R&S FSH3 has already been successfully tested in mobile radio applications.
This analyzer combines the functions and characteristics of a spectrum analyzer with the functionalities of a test TV receiver, so that allows you to perform all the essential measures in the field with a only instrument. Additionally, it is robust, waterproof and is powered by NiMH batteries.
The analyzer comes equipped with a TV card, a preamplifier and a tracking generator. Supports all common analog TV standards like B, G/H, D/K, N, I, L, M/NTSC and M/PAL and can be improved in anytime for DVB-C, J.83/B or ATSC/8VSB. It's coming too with several predefined settings required by cable TV and transmitter network operators for measurement work. In addition to direct frequency inputs, the R&S FSH3-TV can tune by channel number. A table of predefined channels for numerous countries is included and can be modified at any time according to the needs.
R&S FSH3 allows adaptation optionally to specific tasks such as distance to the fault. The measurement option of vector transmission makes it suitable for vector transmission applications service and development. For frequent users on networks of cable, Rohde & Schwarz offers the option FSHTV-Z60, a newly developed pre-selector that improves the dynamics of use in densely occupied cable systems.
The operation is very simple thanks to precise menus, function keys and a dial button which ensures quick and easy variation of input values or selection of menu items. The TV analyzer can store up to 100 measurement results that can then be stored transfer via a USB interface to a PC for later evaluation.
