Leitch will showcase a variety of new products at NAB 2005, enabling industry professionals to store, process, edit and route in standard and high-definition formats, facilitating companies' transition to new technology platforms.
- X75HD. It combines up, down and cross conversions as well as HD frame synchronization with extensive audio and video processing capabilities in a single space. Ideal for hybrid, analog, digital or high definition locations.
- Leitch 6800+ modular family. It offers nine new configurations: the series of eight HMX6800+ multiplexers and demultiplexers that accommodate balanced or unbalanced AES signals, of 2 or 4 and with interlaced or progressive standards. The modules provide great flexibility to handle audio configurations tailored to specific needs and multiple languages. The HFS6800+ is a synchronizer and processor that handles ingestion and re-timing
The new NEO platform modules include the following:
- NEO HUC-3902. A de-interlacing converter module with audio and support for subtitles. This product is ideal for advanced applications in which both quality, confidence and performance are necessary.
- NEO DLY-3901-4. Configurable SDI module, which allows input with a variable delay of up to 4 seconds.
Leitch will also show a new generation of the CCS control panel, which communicates in real time with the NEO 6800+, X75 and Leitch routers. This panel displays color, soft menus and dynamic LCD buttons. Users will be able to use this product only if they have the relevant parameters for their operations.
Also at NAB will be CCS-TRAX, the only application that integrates the operations of routers and processing products. This product supports synergies between Leitch routers and workflow processing equipment and reduces the possibility of errors.
Panacea Clean/Quiet Switch and Panacea Lite routers will also be on display. Panacea Clean, one of the most recognized audio cleaning switchers on the market, has features such as output signals. Thanks to its properties for master control it provides simulcast for SD and HD, switch transitions and auxiliary accessories.
A Leitch solution for multiple video monitors is the NEO SuiteView, capable of rendering video and computer signals in real time and with a very high resolution on the monitors. NEO SuiteView is scalable from 4 to 44 standard inputs in 3RU or from 4 to 12 inputs in compact 1RU. It offers the same functionality and up to 12 inputs in a compact 1RU box.
The Nexio HD server brings to market the first software based on agile codec for high-resolution video. This new technology, based on a 64-bit platform, allows the integration of baseband signals in high definition directly to the Nexio server. The Nexio HD platform, NX4200HDX, features two HD output channels or one input channel and one HD output in 720p or 1080i format. Initial decoding for output supports MPEG-2 and a 4:2:2 profile.
Leitch's post-production group will unveil new software for the VelocityHD nonlinear editing system. It provides high quality playback of two video streams, two dynamic graphics systems, HD transitions and effects, optional 3D effects and great SD performance.
The Videotek VTM family will launch its VTM-450E HD/SD, VTM440HD/SD, VTM-330EG, VTM-310G and VTM-300G multi-format monitors. The new multi-format TVM-950HD will debut at NAB 2005 as the most versatile, advanced and intuitive HD/SD-SDI audio and video monitor.
Videotek will also showcase three new functional modules for centralized video quality management systems (Signal Quality Manager or SQM) and the APM-210 monitor for stereo audio.
