The Colombian government appointed Eduardo Osorio Lozano as new manager of Radio Television National of Colombia, RTVC. Osorio Lozano was chosen as result of a selection process that was initiated at the beginning of December 2004, when Gilberto's resignation was known Ramirez.
Because of the profile Required, the 14 candidates for the position had to prove skills managerial, knowledge of the telecommunications sector, and experience in the management of related companies, with results positive financial.
Eduardo Osorio is a lawyer for the Universidad Externado de Colombia specialist in law administrative of the same university and has a diploma in state contracting of the Universidad del Rosario.
The new manager of RTVC counts with a trajectory of more than 15 years in the sector of the television. He has been head of the legal office of Inravisión, Audiovisual Manager, Manager of the Television Sector of Asomedios, head of the channel and service quality office of the National Television Commission, CNTV and since March 2003 to date he served as an advisor for matters of television of the office of the Minister of Communications.
For Eduardo Osorio his challenge will be "continue with the process of transformation of television and public radio, consolidate RTVC as an efficient company and making public television and radio become a true alternative for the dissemination of educational content, cultural and entertainment for Colombians".
Osorio Lozano succeeds in the position of Gilberto Ramírez, who was in charge of Inravisión during the last year and successfully led the process of creating RTVC after the liquidation of Inravisión.
