NAB. This week begins the NAB Show that will take place from April 13 to 17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in the United States, which this year will have an important call for visitors from the professional industry from Latin America, and where the entire Merlin Distributor team will be working on each of the stands of its represented brands such as Panasonic, Canon, Sony, JVC, AJA Video Systems, Datavideo, Zeiss, Tascam, Telycam, Hedbox, IDX and Sirui.
They will have an extensive agenda of activities and meetings with all their business partners, both their resellers, integrators and distributors, as well as being available to all companies that want to join the resale list in the region.

This NAB Show 2024 being the third year in which Panasonic's operation for Latin America is carried out from Panasonic do Brasil, to which having a very positive balance in what has been achieved these years, Rodrigo Costa, sales manager of Panasonic tells us: "I consider that we are in a very important moment because we have closed the fiscal recently in March and we have had a very, very great success, resulting in our best year in sales with a very good impact on products such as PTZ cameras, reaching our new record in the Latin American market, added to a surprise that we have had for the sales achieved in studio cameras in the region in which we have achieved an excellent result also with a new record in this line, so I have no doubt that we are in a moment of great relevance with our partners throughout Latin America."

Among the many novelties expected from Canon, it is known that it will have a new Broadcast lens and new resources for PTZ cameras at the NAB Show, and where in its large stand visitors will be able to access practical demonstrations of all its products for the industry, ranging from cameras and cinema lenses to lenses for broadcast, PTZ cameras and more, being able to interact with all their products and see their latest technologies and interact with all the professional staff at Canon and Merlin Distributor to answer any questions they have.
Merlin Distributor comes from obtaining important achievements achieved this year with the brand such as the recognitions obtained for the company's Excellent performance in the distribution of products of the Mirrorless lines, Provideo, broadcast lenses and its PTZ cameras during last year's fiscal period, awarding the awards to the distribution company of the "Canon Outstasding Performance Awards 2023".

TASCAM
With a significant amount of new products at NAB Show integrating its extensive product line owned by TASCAM, Joe Stopka, VP of Sales and Market Development at TASCAM anticipates what can be seen in Las Vegas: "Many TASCAM products define the global standard for high-quality recording and playback, as our mixers have been doing, portable recorders and rack-mounted media products since our inception."

JVC
From booth C4720, JVC Professional Video, the division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation will present among the unveiled at the moment its new KY-PZ540 series PTZ camera with 40x zoom. These PTZ cameras that incorporate this focal depth, the KY-PZ540 and KY-PZ540N feature the integration of NDI HX3 capabilities and are designed with JVC's 4K imager. The cameras also feature JVC. JVC's renowned technology: Variable Scan Mapping, which dynamically scans the 4K sensor to produce a smooth, lossless image transition of up to 40x in full-resolution HD. These cameras are ideal for large event spaces and cases where zooming in from a long distance is necessary.
Firmware version 3 will also be released for its award-winning KY-PZ510 and KY PZ510N CONNECTED CAM PTZ cameras. With this latest free update, users now have access to five different Auto Tracking settings, including Standard, Area, Stage, Wide Area, and Fine Adjustment options. The new firmware will also make it possible for users to set presets for exposure, color, and image, among others, a feature that will be released on all NDI-compatible JVC PTZ cameras.
A free firmware update for the JVC RM-LP100 remote camera controller and web interface is also available, which can now be used to send Auto Tracking commands for the cameras via WEB API. In addition, while in auto tracking mode, the controller can be used to select an individual or configured tracking.
