Peru. The Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, launched a mobile application so that citizens can verify the level of non-ionizing radiation emitted by the antennas of the main telecommunications services located anywhere in the country.
The application "More Connected" will have a trial period (white march) and can be downloaded for free from any mobile device to inform and clarify doubts about the installation of antennas in urban or rural areas.
The Deputy Minister of Communications, Virgilio Tito Chura, explained that this application will allow the promotion and expansion of public services and the necessary infrastructure in terms of telecommunications, especially in areas of low coverage.
He explained that users will be able to access a channel of attention and guidance of quick and efficient access through the use of a Bot chat, which will be available 24 hours a day to answer and attend, in real time, the questions and concerns regarding this topic.
Likewise, attention will be provided in Spanish, Quechua and Aymara once it is communicated to the call center, in which specialized professionals from the General Directorate of Supervision and Sanctions in Telecommunications matters will participate.
