Latin America. Ottawa technology company VideoShip Enterprises Ltd., which provides advanced video workflow, distribution and archiving services, launched its technology iNet.Live with the Latin American News Alliance, AIL.
INet.Live is a solution for real-time sharing of broadcast-quality live streams between TV organizations around the world, and allows networks large and small to diversify their content and appeal to a wider audience.
Tom Grimes, CEO of VideoShip, stated: "We are very pleased that after intensive field trials, AIL has contracted VideoShip to provide a live news exchange between its twenty-two member countries in Central America, South America and the Caribbean." We view this as validation that iNet.Live is now at the forefront of the transmission industry's technology offerings, providing mission-critical services with a standard of quality, reliability and accessibility in terms of cost that has never been available before."
Juan Carlos Isaza Montejo, director of AIL, highlighted that: "After evaluating many options, we found that the iNet.Live service is better suited to the difficult task of operating across multiple diverse networks to provide a reliable exchange of live information between our members, as well as with our partner networks in the United States and Europe. We are proud of the fact that our live news sharing network is the first of its kind in South America and the Caribbean."
