Colombia. The Ministry of ICT opened the second version of the call for 'Territories in the Air', an initiative that seeks to strengthen community radio stations in the country and in which the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge also participates.
"Supporting community broadcasters is vital to strengthening the social fabric of our communities. Not only do these spaces foster diversity and dialogue, but they also play a crucial role in educating and entertaining communities. By investing in these stations, we are investing in a more inclusive and representative communication, which truly gives a voice to all sectors of our society," said ICT Minister Mauricio Lizcano.
'Territorios al Aire' is aimed at community radio stations, with the aim of strengthening their programming schedules through training and sound production, which will allow the country to continue narrating from the regions.
To fulfill its mission, the call has two fundamental components for community broadcasters. The first is the training process, where workshops and training will be offered to expand knowledge, through modules with relevant topics such as specialized sound production, country narratives, popular economies and digital proposal for the circulation of content.
The second component is the production of sound content, where resources will be allocated to the beneficiary stations, for the realization, post-production and delivery of final products.
The call will be divided into five categories for community broadcasters to build diverse and innovative content that will enrich their programming schedules:
Category 1: Sound fiction
Category 2: Radio Journalism
Category 3: Innovative live radio or extramural radio formats
Category 4: Sound Experimentation
Category 5: Collaborative Content Production
