Calrec

Impulse Core is a powerful audio processing and routing engine with AES67 and SMPTE 2110 connectivity. With IP control connectivity, connected spaces can be physically remote and connected over standard networks using COTS hardware.

This technology allows Calrec users to transition to next-generation audio and IP (NGA) infrastructures, and provides the flexibility to do so without a review of production equipment.

Impulse offers immersive 3D path widths and panning for NGA applications, 5.1 input channels 5.1.2, 5.1.4, 7.1, 7.1.2 and 7.1.4 input channels, monitoring and measurement. It features a comprehensive AoIP router and connection management, as well as mDNS/Ravenna discovery.

The goal is to reduce the cost of transitioning and make it a seamless experience for new and existing customers looking to upgrade to new workflows.
