Latin America. Given the popularity of sports broadcasts in Latin America, Zeplay has put the region among its priority market targets and are looking for distributors of its product, said Andrew Starks, founding partner of the company.
"We have an instant replay server designed for sports broadcasts, it's called Zeplay. It's a server that I can take four camera angles. Which makes it very fast and practical whether for soccer or for any sport. It is a good choice for mobile units. For Latin America we are very interested in the market in general; our company is quite new so we are looking for distributors and partners in the south of the continent," said the executive during NAB Show 2018.
He mentioned that they are already looking for distributors in the region: "Our markets in the south of the continent, which interests us can be Brazil, South America in general; we've had a bit of exposure over there so we're very interested. Mexico, of course, we are actually looking for someone in Latin America who knows the market and has a good experience in the field of broadcast and sports."
And he highlighted the advantages of Zeplay: "This is actually a great product for the market. I would say it's easy to use, but it's very powerful. Everything you expect an instant replay server to do like create highligth packets — or plays — and be able to control it flexibly, create repetitions immediately, like a foul on a game. The competition offers equipment for $80,000, us in half, $39,500. In the United States we do very well with cable stations like Time-Warner and stadiums like the University of Minnesota. There are many mobile units that have been acquired in the world, some in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia."
