Hitachi Demonstrated 4K Camera Control Unit

NAB. The control unit of the FIBER-connected CU-HD1300F-S2 camera offers UHD/4K 12G-SDI outputs with High Dynamic Range (HDR). Also available in a dual-cable fiber/triax configuration (CU-HD1300FT-S2), the new CCU enables cost-effective, future-proof HD camera investments for customers with 4K/UHD needs.

The CCU's 4K output is available with current fiber-equipped Hitachi 1080p cameras and is also provided via four-link SDI connectivity.

Meanwhile, a new optional firmware update for the Hitachi SK-UHD4000 UHD/4K camera system allows for separate video "shading" settings for HDR and standard dynamic range (SDR) outputs, allowing users to acquire HDR and SDR simultaneously with the same camera while optimizing both images.
