Alliance for transmedia content development emerges

Colombia. For the first time, public and private entities join forces to generate opportunities for Colombian creators of transmedia content through the Transmedia Colombia Alliance.

This Alliance is made up of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies and Proimágenes Colombia through the New Media agreement, the CNACC through the Fund for Cinematographic Development, the National Television Authority and the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, in order to promote the development and production of innovative multiplatform content, original and with high marketing potential.

This alliance will promote calls that support content developers on various platforms such as film, television and digital content. "We are very happy with the creation of this new alliance. We know the potential of transmedia projects of Colombians and that is why we are generating opportunities that allow them to develop high quality content with projection in national and international markets, "said the MINISTER OF ICT, David Luna.

Ángela María Mora Soto, director of the National Television Authority, welcomed this new type of alliance in favor of the Colombian audiovisual industry and said that "the transmedia commitment promotes the interaction of content on traditional and digital platforms, in order to tell important stories for Colombians, also promoting greater participation of audiences."

For his part, Marco Llinas, Vice President of Competitiveness and Shared Value of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, said that this alliance is an initiative aligned with the smart specialization strategy that is part of the cluster of creative industries.

Adelfa Martínez, who chairs the National Council of the Arts of Culture in Cinematography (CNACC), said that this historic alliance shows the country that multiple institutions make it possible to put a goal at the service of a sector in the challenges that the XXI century holds.

Claudia Triana, director of Proimágenes Colombia, agrees that this commitment to the talent of content creators represents a timely and long-awaited response, which coincides with global trends. It also gives continuity to the steps that producers have been taking to position Colombia in the international digital content scene.

The announcement was made in the conversation, moderated by Jaime Tenorio, Alianza Transmedia Colombia, at the Hotel Corales de Indias, in Cartagena, and was attended by the public interested in this type of multiplatform productions.
