Colombia. The Technological University of Pereira (UTP) is the first of the coffee axis to rely on the German technology offered by the firm DHD, being a clear reference for all broadcasters in the region; the digitization of radio is spreading throughout the country.
In the University Stereo station of the UTP has been installed, by the company Aspa Andina, a system composed of a control surface 52-SX of DHD, with a very interesting operational particularity; through a single control surface you can control 2 independent cabins (Emission and Recording) where despite being simultaneously operating both cabins, through the powerful algorithm of DHD AUTOMIX ®, they can make professional recordings "unattended", being the AUTOMIX who regulates the levels of the microphones, avoiding unwanted noises such as Crosstalk and allowing the operator to focus their attention on the live broadcast that is in the main cabin.
Likewise, a whole modernization of the microphone supports, screen supports and signaling systems has been carried out with YELLOWTEC equipment, and even an alarm system "Out of the Air" through the silence detectors offered by these powerful DHD consoles.
This undoubtedly translates into the fact that DHD consoles and digital audio systems are being imposed in the country as a standard of broadcasting, trusting from the Universities in the training of their students with the same technology that they will find in their real work environment in the main radio networks of the country such as Blu Radio, RCN Radio, RTVC, Caracol Radio, among others.
