Colombia. Taking into account that 26% of Caleños and 10% of Colombians correspond to the Afro-descendant population, the regional channel Telepacífico launched a strip of content for the Afro community.
This new strip has a selection of premium content from series, documentaries, films, specials and different international and national formats; paying a well-deserved tribute to regional ethnic groups.
"To implement an Afro strip is to take a step to fulfill a historical debt with the viewers, regarding content with a regional ethnic concept, we will continue working with that purpose. This is an initiative of the Governor of the Valley, Dilian Francisca Toro, the board of directors and the work team of the channel, to make visible and potentiate our regional identity. With the support of the ANTV we seek to contribute from public television with a focus on social innovation, both from the screen and from our digital content, "said César Galviz Molina, Manager of Telepacífico.
In the schedule from Monday to Friday at 10 pm will be broadcast content such as:
– Barak Obama (Great Expectations)
– Search Inside (The Documentary by Jairo Varela)
– Basquiat, One Life.
– Totó La momposina.
– Delio "Maravilla" Gamboa.
– Made in Villapaz,
– Marímbula.
– Africa.
– Rising From Ashes.
For the launch of the strip, which was made on February 8 at the Studio Theater of the regional channel, Telepacífico launched its Afro Strip; with a conversation that had recognized opinion leaders at the national level such as Mabel Lara, Daniel Mera and Jhony Hendrix, which culminated with an important cultural show of the Agrupación de Violes Caucanos Aires de Dominguillo.
