Argentina. During the last 2 years of management, the National Communications Agency (Enacom) assigned more ICT licenses than those granted over the previous 10 years.
While in the period 2005-2015 906 ICT licenses were delivered, between 2016 and 2017 the amount reached 1,092, which implies an increase of more than 20%. The data is derived from the latest report of Market Indicators prepared by the National Directorate for the Development of Competition in Networks and Services of the Agency and can be consulted on the Open Data portal of Enacom.
"More competition and clear rules will produce better services and lower prices, that is our goal," said Miguel De Godoy, president of Enacom.
The Single License for Telecommunications Services enables the provision of telecommunications services, whether fixed or mobile, wired or wireless, national or international, with or without its own infrastructure.
In addition, in order to facilitate the process of applying for a licence, the Entity made available to interested parties a guidance guide which can be consulted in www.enacom.gob.ar
