Chile. Brainstorm successfully collaborated with The National Television of Chile, TVN, in the coverage of the national elections of Chile on November 19. The program extensively used the capabilities of InfinitySet, Brainstorm's solution of virtual studios and augmented reality for the visualization of live data in different formats, including augmented reality and teleportation of presenters to remote locations such as the Mint.
Throughout the coverage, InfinitySet provided real-time visualization of count data from official data. Thanks to InfinitySet's ability to generate real-time 3D graphics based on external data, they were visualized as augmented reality in a real scenario using several cameras, including a crane with tracking, to generate a spectacular realization with flights and traffic over the scene.
The 3D graphics showed the data being automatically and constantly updated in real time, and were seamlessly integrated into the scene, including shadows cast and movements and perspective adjusted at all times.
According to Mauricio Rojo, Deputy Engineering Manager of TVN "We have used a complex assembly, with different cameras and even a crane to have the ability to generate plans in a huge scenario, on which InfinitySet placed perfectly integrated the necessary graphics to cover the news. The result has been precise, spectacular and enjoyable for the audience, so we are delighted with the program we have offered to our viewers."
Brainstorm has more than 25 years of experience in providing high-level solutions for 3D graphics and virtual sets, which have been used extensively in elections around the world by the best television networks.
According to Patricio del Campo, General Manager of Videomedia, Brainstorm's representative for Chile, "we are very satisfied with the performance of InfinitySet to generate a spectacular program, as well as the support of the Brainstorm team when it comes to ensuring that the complex assembly, calibration and adjustment of incoming data, will come to fruition in a live program in which nothing can fail."
