Mexico. Consumers of new online video distribution platforms (such as over-the-top, OTT), demand to receive their content wherever, at any time and on the device of their choice. Therefore, cable operators must adapt to these needs, said Fernando Graziano, regional sales director for Latin America at SeaChange.
"One of the main challenges for them is TV everywhere, the ability to offer subscribers at any time, place or device. This entails many changes that any supplier must face by making solutions. We do that: Content Manager System (CMS) solutions, which allow us to process content and adapt it to any scenario that operators want to distribute it. But at the same time we have backoffice tools, which are the processing mechanisms that interact directly between users," he said during Convergencia 2017.
In the exhibition held from July 11 to 13 in Mexico City, the executive said: "We have a whole team of solutions dedicated to these solutions and a wide penetration in markets in Europe and America, and now we are introducing it in Latin America, among operators who need it. We are very excited to grow in the region and take on an important role in growing the industry."
He believed that SeaChange has technological advantages to help operators overcome this challenge: "For almost 30 years, SeaChange has been at the top technology for cable operators. Today we continue to lead solutions and new products; we are constantly developing new applications and products with specific functionalities to help cable operators."
