Peru. The Radio and Television Advisory Council, Concortv, elected as its new president Flora Luna Gonzales, representative, before the Council, of the Peruvian Association of Consumers and Users – ASPEC.
Dr. Luna is a doctor graduated from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, with a postgraduate degree in Pediatrics at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos – UNMSM. She is currently Technical Advisor of the Peruvian Association of Consumers and Users – ASPEC, and representative of this Association before different multisectoral commissions.
It should be noted that the position of member or president of CONCORTV is carried out ad-honorem and, as established in the Radio and Television Law, they must be people with moral suitability, outstanding trajectory and professional experience not less than ten years.
Concortv is an autonomous, plural and consultative body attached to the Ministry of Transport and Communications – MTC, whose purpose is to promote good practices in Peruvian radio and television through the production of reliable information and the creation of a climate of dialogue between all the actors involved.
It is made up of ten institutions representing society, business and the State: the National Association of Centers, Holders of authorizations for sound broadcasting and commercial television services, Holders of authorizations for sound broadcasting and educational television services, Peruvian Press Council, Consumer Associations, Faculties of Social Communication and Journalism, Ministry of Transport and Communications, College of Journalists of Peru, National Association of Advertisers (ANDA), and the Professional Association of Teachers of Peru.
