Colombia. Complementing its Blu Radio station, Caracol Televisión has decided to launch its new radio proposal called "La Kalle", which despite its short time on the air, has already managed to position itself as a benchmark for music radio in Bogotá.
However, thanks to its technological commitment, its radio objective has not been limited only to the capital city, but to the entire national territory thanks to its participation in both audio and video through DTT.
This characteristic of turning a music station into a DTT television channel 24 hours a day, is what has made this station a clear reference compared to its other competitors in the medium, unique with respect to conventional radio.
This innovative capacity in its radio product is allowed thanks to its infrastructure already established in the Blu Radio studios in Bogotá with German technology from the firm DHD, represented in Colombia by Aspa Andina, through which audio processes are automated that, added to a professional video mix, turn this station into a high definition channel with all the necessary resources to meet the demand of its listeners / viewers with the best sound and the best signal on TV.
In the studios of La Kalle, two 52-MX consoles have been installed, with 10" multi-touch TFT screens that allow both operators and VJ's (Presenters) to perform different actions, both broadcast automation and coordination; Adding to the HW configuration several panels (of the same 52-MX series) for Talkback functions between the IN/OUT communications center of the channel, as well as the Director/Coordinator of the station in an easy and simple way.
One of the main functions, installed in the consoles of this station, is the DHD Automix, which corresponds to an automatic signal mixer that manages AGC, compressors, limiters, etc., in the operation of all the microphones of the studio, through a TFT screen, optimizing resources of the consoles and releasing operational load to the announcers / producers. In this way, a stable and homogeneous mixture of the microphones is guaranteed in a final bus that reaches the control surface by a single fader.
