In one of the most recurrent themes in the halls of NAB Show 2017, the use of IP is one of the priorities for broadcasters. This year we have many 12G products that can be used in different form factors; we have a new Sprint TV series with all the flexibility in terms of what people want," he explained.
Watkins mentioned the advantages of using fiber optics for the transport of content and signals. "We offer solutions to take the signal over a great distance and that's a big part of what we do. We managed to transport the signals without requiring tons of heavy copper cable. We have a great ability to design customized solutions.
On the development of the company, he said: "We are starting to diversify, because we are growing and there is a lot to do out there. We are entering into other types of signal conversions. Surely 4K will be the future and we want to be there too." On his growth in Latin America, he commented: "We have customers in Argentina who have Silverbacks 4K5, in Mexico, in Brazil.
