NAB. Digital terrestrial television (DTT) in Latin America continues its penetration. But beyond the mere penetration of signals, there are other products of equal importance for broadcasters, such as monitoring equipment and field measurement. In this, Gsertel offers new solutions that were demonstrated during NAB 2017.
José Manuel Maseda, Technical Sales Manager of the Spanish company, said: "We present our range of monitoring and measurement products in the field. Specifically our RCS solution for monitoring digital terrestrial television (DTT) stations, in DVB and ISDB-T format".
During his participation in Las Vegas, he said: "We present our new Portable Hexylon meter, which is multi-standard for field work, with DTT signals, satellite TV, with FM-AM radio signals, analog TV, which also presents a revolutionary user interface."
He added: "Latin America, with respect to other parts of the world, Europe and the United States, has lagged behind. However, there are countries that go further than others. Inevitably all countries move towards digitalization, but it is clear that DTT in Latin America will be imposed sooner or later. Our equipment has a differential RF quality compared to other manufacturers. Except for German manufacturers, we stand above other competitors in terms of equipment quality.
Maseda concluded: "Gsertel is a company with 15 years in the market and more than 15 thousand equipment sold working in the world. There's a very strong know-how in RF that other companies can't offer."
