NAB. With an invitation to look for new business opportunities that allow them to renew themselves to meet the new needs of the market, the meeting of the VSN company with its Latin American Dealers was held within the framework of NAB Show.
Mario Díaz, global sales director of VSN, highlighted in his presentation that there are more and more customers in the non-broadcast market who are looking for professional solutions in the industry, as well as projects that require solutions for a short time, so he invited his representatives to migrate from just selling a product to offering services.
This proposal is based on an analysis of the Market carried out by the company, in which they found results such as:
- There are fewer and fewer projects, they are of less amount and customers tend to acquire them under more flexible investment models.
- Explosive increase in the need to create audiovisual content and be able to manage it efficiently across multiple industries
- Increasingly strong irruption of IP environments
- Most manufacturers are going live to the end customer, and give less margins to the distributor
- Most customers want to talk directly to manufacturers and buy at the biggest discount possible.
To support distributors in this transition VSN will hold a Dealer Training in July.
During the event, the company also announced its partnerships for the development of technology that allows them to provide end-to-end solutions, both with Harmonic's Spectrum X video server, and with RossVideo's Inception news system.
In addition, the company delivered, as every year, recognitions to the work of its distributors in Latin America during the last year. The honorees were:
- La Curaçao, from Colombia, for the flagship project with the installation carried out on Canal Uno
- Cocatel, from Costa Rica, for its 10 years as a VSN representative and its 20th anniversary in the industry
- Videocam, from Mexico, for its trajectory
VSN also gave a special recognition to the engineering firm Seel, from Colombia, for its work and professional career.
