Colombia. The Youcast company presented part of its equipment during the Andina Link Cartagena Fair held on March 7, 8 and 9, 2017 and talking with Mr. Raul Ivo Faller, its CEO, told us the following:
Luis Pinto: What is Youcast?
Raul Ivo Faller: YouCast is a value-added distributor and integrator of solutions for video and data transmission. It is a fairly broad definition, we already work on cable transmission, fiber, air, satellite and point-to-point transmissions.
We are also distributors of solutions for testing, measuring and monitoring video at the RF or baseband level, by the exclusive representations of the Dektec and Testree brands. We also act successfully with solutions for fiber optics, from connectors, fusion machines, and all accessories for fiber installation such as complete integration of GPON solutions.
Luis Pinto: In which countries in the region does the company operate?
Raul Ivo Faller: We are a Brazilian company with an office in Colombia, and others in Peru and Argentina, from which we give attention to all of South America, with our solutions for the conversion of analog to digital signals for the small operator and another to improve the preforms of the WiFi signal and practice a Premium WiFi model for operators.
Luis Pinto: What has most attracted the attention of visitors to your stand?
Raul Ivo Faller: What caught the most attention were the low-cost solutions for operating television or data services. Equipment to digitize signals and add security or modernize operations to OTT services, with our solution you can convert an entire operation to IP in an easy, fast, safe and economical way. For IPTV/OTT solutions we have extensive options for the operator that suits any investment and technology scenario.
Luis Pinto: From your point of view, what is the market trend and what is your company developing in front of it?
Raul Ivo Faller: The way we seek to move with the market, is precisely to bring the most appropriate solution to each scenario, we are a company that has more than 20 representations, which makes us very competitive in prices. We find IPTV and OTT solutions that are tailored to the need of the operator.
