Argentina. Viacom International Media Networks Americas announced Telefe's new management team, which integrates with the rest of the company's portfolio in Argentina, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Paramount Channel.
The company will be co-led by Guillermo Campanini as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Dario Turovelzky as the company's Senior Vice President (SVP).
This new co-leadership structure, which has been developing since the acquisition, will support the company's growth strategy in Argentina with direct reporting lines to Viacom Americas' headquarters in Miami, which will ensure the incorporation of Viacom's core strategy – elevating Telefe to new levels of a global company. The announcement was made by Pierluigi Gazzolo, President, Viacom Americas.
In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Guillermo Campanini will be headed by the entire Business and Operations sector, including Advertising Sales, Content Distribution, News, Administration, Corporate Services, Finance, Technology and Operations. In turn, he will be responsible for all business areas, in addition to all strategic and operational services departments.
Darío Turovelzky has been appointed Director of Global Content (SVP – Senior Vice President) for Telefe and for the rest of Viacom Cono Sur's channel portfolio. In this position, Turovelzky will have under his direction the areas of Programming, Content Development, Production, Digital Platforms, Artistic Press, Film Production and International Co-productions of Telefe. He will also have responsibility for the performance of these areas for MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Paramount Channel, working closely with the pan-regional Brand Managers of each of these brands to strengthen their growth, both in Argentina and in the rest of the Southern Cone.
Tomás Yankelevich, Director of Global Content at Telefe to date, has decided to leave the company for professional and personal reasons, in search of new opportunities.
The company's management team also includes Paula Guerra who will have under her direction the Content Distribution area for all the brands in the portfolio, in addition to the areas of Legal Affairs, Human Resources, Institutional Relations, Corporate Communication and Trade Marketing, which will support all commercial areas. Guerra has 20 years of career with VIMN Argentina, the last 10 years as General Manager of the same.
Gustavo Capua will be in charge of the direction of the areas of Finance, Technology, Facilities and Operations, supporting the needs of all the channels of the company.
Claudio Ipolitti will continue to be in charge of Telefe's News Directorate, in addition to supervising the Channels of the Interior, Institutional Relations and will add the Corporate Communication area.
Fernando Varela will continue as Director of Legal Affairs, now adding responsibilities for the needs of Viacom Argentina in this area.
