Colombia. As a result of the agreement signed by the National Television Authority, ANTV, with the European Union, a monitoring system will be implemented that aims to technically verify the quality of the Digital Terrestrial Television signal in 22 cities of the country.
The agreement, led by an ANTV director Ángela María Mora, becomes the first of its kind in Latin America to be implemented by a regulator.
With this system it will be possible to monitor in real time the quality with which users perceive the DTT signal, both for private and public channels, guaranteeing that free-to-air TV operators deliver a signal in optimal conditions.
Once the work schedule has been established, the system will be implemented with a coordinated work between the National Television Authority and the European Union.
