Colombia. The National Television Board and the director of the National Television Authority presented the ANTV Awards 2016, a recognition of talent and innovation in the production of audiovisual content.
Between 2012 and 2014 the ANTV in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, made three calls in order to promote television production throughout the country, which resulted in the financing of 19 high-quality television projects.
This year, the entity made for the first time the call for the promotion of the industry autonomously, for which, it had resources for $ 1,672 million. On this occasion, a total of 72 proposals were received from operators of the non-profit public television service, audiovisual content production companies and ethnic groups.
The ANTV 2016 awards are the result of a call that brought together innovative and authentic proposals for the strengthening of television content. According to the director of the entity, Ángela María Mora Soto, "these spaces become a clear opportunity for our productions, which are increasingly positioned as high quality products".
The selection of the winning projects was in charge of a committee composed of seven specialized juries, each of them with extensive experience in the audiovisual sector, who were given the task of reviewing all the material and evaluating, among other variables, the congruence between the project, the production plan and the budget.
In the end, the winners received the financing of their project according to the amount stipulated by category, according to the condition of the call. The winners are:
Production of a television series aimed at children

Production of a television fiction series that addresses issues of Colombian regional culture
