Latin America. Atlas Media Server is a new product of the DVEO company that has the ability to make Captcha TV, with which you can have a live television channel and allow to be returned in time up to an hour and that the player continues to play the channel as if the user were watching live television.
Sergio Ammirata, Ph.D, Chief Technology Officer of DVEO, told TVyVideo+Radio that "what allows you to do that is to have a player that supports htmls, any mobile device or a browser. This way it is possible to move in time without the need to make a custom development of the application. This is the company's main innovation."
Another of the company's novelties, presented during the last version of IBC, is the Premio, a high-resolution 4:2:2 encoder that supports up to 50 megabis per second with low delay, reaching a maximum of 200 milliseconds.
Finally, Sergio Ammirata stressed that "in Latin America, due to the digital conversion that all countries are experiencing, we are seeing a great interest in our products. In addition, as the closing of the digital divide with the internet is increasing, the possibilities of having IPTV solutions with the HLS protocol increase."
