Latin America. JVC was one of four companies that accompanied Newtek's training in Miami with its resellers, in order to show how the company's cameras complement Newtek's IP technology, NDI.
Pedro Mees, director of JVC for Latin America, told TVyVideo+Radio that they were invited to this event because they are a complementary company to Newtek's IP solution. He pointed out its concept as modern, because it sends the signal over IP from the camera to the TV station, which captures this signal continuing in IP based on the NDI model. Everything about IP, nothing is turned into Baseband. And once it's at the station, it's available to everyone.
"NDI is a very interesting solution to use within the station, with everything you need to operate with IP. What we provide is the video that comes from outside with our workflow, which sends from the camera to the station by IP. We have a stream today that is based on the JVC server that receives all the video signals that come from outside like newscasts, events, and so on.
From that server the outputs that are required are created and addressed for the stations that work with IP NDI infrastructure and has great advantages, because the material is available 24/7 for everyone, it can be recorded on another server and used for any program, "he concluded.
