The engineer Eusebio Mejía Maldonado, president of Amitra, explained to TVyVideo+Radio that the congress reaches its 39th version, within the framework of the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of the association.
"This year we will have 12 general conferences and 12 team workshops. We hope to have about 150 professionals at our most important event of the year. We provide a broad overview of what's happening and what's coming for radio and television, such as the ATSC 3.0 digital TV model, 4K and trends in AM and FM," he said.
As the Association is growing in the country, in addition to its annual congress, throughout the year it holds technical talks for its affiliates, both in Mexico City and in Monterrey and Guadalajara, with which they seek to keep their affiliates abreast of the latest news and technological developments.
On the broadcasting industry in Mexico, Eusebio Mejía stressed that in recent months the government has delivered new tenders for national television channels of open signal and DTT, and radio stations, seeking to cover places that did not have it, but are attentive to the financial viability for new media.
