Peru. In 2015, the Coordinator of Local and Regional Media -MEDIOS PERÚ-, by agreement of its partners and affiliates decided to restructure its institution, including changing its name to Coordinadora de Perú Radios, being able to use the abbreviated name PERU RADIOS, however, due to inconveniences it could not be formalized before public registries or Indecopi.
Only on January 29, after overcoming the inconveniences, PERU RADIOS, was registered and regularized, which was expedited to continue working in a more concentrated way on issues related to broadcasting and in particular of its partners and affiliates.
Until last year, the NGO Medios Perú worked in a dispersed way, it was the representative and union institution of local and regional broadcasters, however, since October that union work has been transferred to the Peruvian Chamber of Radio and Television (CAPERTV) that was created within the framework of the National Congress of Broadcasters and currently its Board of Directors is working with enthusiasm.
From this year 2016, PERU RADIOS, will concentrate its work on research, analysis, project development, advice and dissemination of administrative, legal and technical issues, in order to contribute to a better service of radio and television in the country, including cable television.
It will also carry out training with national and foreign specialists to improve the technical topics of content and production of local and regional radios and television stations.
Regarding the local and regional written media, the director of PERU RADIOS, Edgar Guevara said, that "the majority of members are incorporated into the College of Journalists of Peru and commercially work with the Company "Diarios de Provincias", that is why we did not have greater participation in that area. "
On the other hand, he announced that he is working on the launch of the new portal of PERU RADIOS, (www.peruradios.org), with important and relevant information for radio, television and cable.
