Latin America. 16X9 is a company created by Band Pro that since 2000 distributes equipment for film and television production with a global presence and representing brands such as Bebob, Flowcine, EasyRig Movcam, Noga and Orca Bags.
In Latin America, the company has a presence through its dristribuidores and with a representative based in Mexico, who is studying the market and the best way to expand.
Christian Calderon, who leads the sales team of 16x9 Inc., told TVyVideo that "The company's penetration in Latin America is still limited, we want to have a space in the south of the continent as we have in the United States and growing in Mexico. I joined the company nine months ago with that intention."
He added that "For me, the ideal is to have a distributor in each country. For that we provide our representatives with several advantages that can help them expand the brand, because we know that they are our eyes and ears in each country. In addition to offering high-tech products at competitive prices."
He gave as an example of the region's potential Colombia, from where much film and television is exported and is an important market that has not been exploited by the company. He also mentioned countries such as Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay, in which there are needs to improve the production that 16x9 wants to supply.
