Latin America. Corporación Universal, with more than 120 radio stations nationwide in the Peruvian territory in six different formats: Karibeña, Éxito, Z Rock & Pop, La Kalle, Amor and La Hot, has decided to acquire more than 54 radio transmitters in powers from 1000 to 5000 W in the Elenos brand.
Between 2009 and 2010, 305 Broadcast had an approach with the engineer Jorge Zapatero, who decided to test one of these Elenos equipment resulting in the purchase of a 2 KW transmitter and another 5 KW. Thanks to the experience he has had with these transmitters in recent years and the high quality and performance of these equipment, Corporación Universal decided to acquire Elenos over other brands.
The final decision was made by Jorge Zapatero, who spent more than seven years working at the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru, a company that provided services to OM, FM and TV and satellite radio stations throughout Peru. Then he worked 13 years in Consorcio Peruano de Comunicaciones (CPC) (former Cadenas Radio A and Radio Z Rock & Pop) and currently, for five years, in Corporación Universal.
In this regard, Jorge Zapatero, indicated that this acquisition allows them to continue the stage of modernization of the audio and RF systems of their chains, which still have valve transmitters.
