Argentina. Argentina's TyC Sports has been using For-A video production mixers to produce the sporting events and has just acquired five HVS-100 switches, as well as HVS-390HS and HVS-300HS units.
The sports narrator is using the portable video mixers in several of its mobile units and satellite flypacks. The units were used for the production of the football championship in Brazil earlier this year, and are now covering various sporting events throughout Argentina.
TyC Sports highlighted that the units are easy to install, configure and operate, and are ideal in environments where physical space is limited. The HVS-100 offers a wide range of functions, including mixed HD/SD input, frame synchronization, multi-viewer capability, resizing engine, 2.5D clean effects, DVE and manipulator with chroma key.
The unit comes standard with eight HD/SD-SDI inputs and four outputs (plus one HDMI output), and allows a maximum of 14 inputs and six outputs, or 12 inputs and eight outputs to be freely assigned.
The HVS-390HS video switch is in use in a network control room for studio production by TyC Sports. It offers a unique functionality that allows you to do more with your productions. Your operators can use the switch to deploy any bus aux transition with cuts, mixes, or wipes, and display a complete manipulator with DVE functions.
Mario Rodríguez, sales manager for Latin America at For-A, said: "TyC Sports is an important leader in Argentine sports broadcasting. For-A is happy to work with the channel and provide them with the video production team that simplifies their operations."
